0. Prologue: Deanna Doom

WELCOME TO DOOM.

DOOM is the newest epic and seemingly endless television series by the Sims Broadcasting Service. DOOM is based on the true story of the Doom family, who over 27 generations, survived and overcame three separate devastating disasters in Downtown Simsville.

Join the SBS through this incredible journey! It will be full of high points, low points, occasional successes, overwhelming failures, and general Sim suffering all around. Narrated by the surprisingly dull yet occasionally funny Chase Lightning, this extremely long family story will warm your heart (because you'll be glad you didn't have to live through it)!

Ahem, well, hello! I'm Chase, and I'm gonna give you the rundown on the beginning of the Doom family, but after this I'll let "them" take it away-- them being actors and actresses who resemble the family EXACTLY! Really, the resemblance is uncanny. Well, let's begin!

 This is Deanna Doom, and she isn't going to have a very easy life.

She was a pretty average student at Academie le Tour before her world went to sh-- err, I can't say that on daytime television, can I? Before things got bad.

She did all the standard things, eating dorm food, and building connections and skills.

Deanna was a Romance Sim, but it's unclear to us if she really lived her best Romance Sim life at ALT.

(Deanna is a Pisces, 5/3/8/3/8, and her LTW is to Become a Hall of Famer.)

She was a psychology major, and was a very good student, according to Academie le Tour's Professor Sandy Tan.

She made lots of friends in her dorm and elsewhere.

She got engaged to a woman named Tish Tomyoy, but much time would pass before they'd ever see each other again. It is said Deanna had as many as 5 lovers while at ALT, but who's really to say?

Deanna graduated with a 3.9 GPA and quickly packed up for the expansive metropolis of Simsville.

Downtown Simsville wasn't exactly what she was expecting.

Either the city was completely leveled by some unknown devastation, or it never existed in the first place. Regardless, Deanna was somehow taken here, and with an endless expanse facing her in all directions, she was stuck.

What will Deanna do in these grim conditions? Will she overcome this apocalypse, or die trying?
